Our Mission

At New Hope, our mission is to encourage people to deepen their relationship with Jesus, know the love of God, and give them the passion to serve the Lord. We follow the call of God to serve Him in helping to bless all the earth.

12 Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3 (NKJV)

Church Vision

Our vision is delivering the Word of God to our community and the world by spreading His love and bringing people closer to Him. We are part of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and the Neuse Baptist Association. We strive to be disciples of God’s Word.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19

Our Belief

We believe the Bible is the only earthly Word of God. God exists as three entities: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The three distinct entities of the Trinity are all fully God.

16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:16-17

The Bible is the authoritative Word of God. It is God’s connection to man about who He is. God used 40 different authors over a span of 1500 years to convey His word through the Holy Spirit. The bible is truth itself.

17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. – John 17:17

God the Father is the first part of the Trinity. He is the Creator of all things and is infinite. He has no limitations in what He can do. God the Father can only be known through His Son Jesus Christ.

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. – Genesis 1:1

God created man in His image, born to know an intimate relationship with Him but also given the choice of free will. It was through this free will that sin entered the world and separated mankind from the glory of God. We can find redemption for this sin through Jesus the Son.

5 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. – Genesis 5:1-2

Salvation is God’s gift to us by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It can never be earned through good works. Jesus gave us salvation by becoming a sacrifice on the cross, bearing the sin of mankind.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. – John 3:16

The Scriptures teach that God’s grace is to redeem man for the price of their sin. Despite going against God’s commands, He still offers us forgiveness and love. His purpose of grace is to save us through regeneration, sanctification, and glorification.

4For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. – Ephesians 1:4
